Known for smooth and quick writing, Louis Madarasz naturally developed a unique style of writing we now call Madarasz Script. It is great for titles, adding emphasis to your writing, and addressing envelopes. Legend has it that this style even inspired the Coca-Cola logo’s flourishes.

This script is characterized by bold shades written quickly. In this class, we will study Madarasz’s pointed pen style and the unique flourishes that pair with it. By the end of the workshop, students will understand what makes Louis Madarasz’s style different from other copperplate styles and will be able to write confidently in that style.

This workshop is open to all students; beginners and continuing letterers are welcome!
